Events, Bar and Catering Manager
Salary: depending on experience. Potential for profit share bonus linked to financial performance. Hours of work: Flexibility is important, so some evening and weekend work is required. Minimum 30 hours per week, 37.5 hours preferred. Overtime available for working at events over and beyond agreed hours.
Example Duties: (not in priority order)
Oversight of staff and delivery of bar and catering activities including;
Ensuring weekly staff rota is managed (delivering customer service whilst controlling overheads)
Ensuring that the centre’s duty of care to staff is met for employees working both internal (members) and external (visitors) events
Recommendations for and placing catering and beverage related orders, working with suppliers to ensure stock is delivered Just in Time
Guidance to social committee in developing an active social programme that offers wide appeal to members and their guests and o versight / implementation of the agreed social events programme
Marketing and publicity: identifying new opportunities for the centre’s function room and driving new business to increase revenue
Working with Golf Professional to understand and cater for golf events e.g. charity events, society bookings, club team matches.
Bar & Catering help
Salary to be discussed and based on experience.
We are looking for a reliable individual to help work in our bar and catering department. You will be part of a small team serving members and guests food and beverages, other duties will include taking and helping prepare food orders.
Previous experience within the hospitality / golf industry and using computerised tills preferred but not essential as training will be given. Willingness to work at weekends and evenings a distinct advantage.
